What is your favorite area of design? My favorite area of design either healthcare design or museum/exhibition design.
What was your favorite project in school (same as images below)? My favorite project to date was a restaurant I designed as my final project of Fall 2015, called The Poet.
Why did you decide to get a degree in Interior Design?: I decided to get a degree in Interior Design because I want to make an impact on people. I want to help or make a change, and through design I can do that. It is always changing and it plays a role in every aspect of life.
What do you love about Interior Design?: I love that I can have an impact on human behavior and how people use a space just by using a certain color or material, or arranging the room a specific way. With design, I can really create an experience for the users of the space. A restaurant can be more than just a place to eat, a school can be more than just somewhere to learn, the design of these spaces can change how things are done and what can be accomplished.
What is your favorite thing about your IIDA Student Membership? My favorite thing is definitely all of the opportunities available to IIDA student members. I look forward to the design charrette every year, and I like that IIDA is such a close knit community. I have met so many people and made so many connections because of my membership, people that I never would have met without IIDA.
