Jordan Hope is the Director of Interior Design at Munson Business Interiors. She has been in this industry for 8 years. Jordan has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Kentucky College of Design, and minor studies in Art History.
Jordan feels that a key turning point in her career was the opportunity to work at Munson Business Interiors. This position allows her to grow professionally in the Commercial furnishings market while allowing her to have a greater focus on Design and Management. Her most enjoyable project thus far has been the opportunity to focus on a new client to Louisville- a rapidly growing Technology Product Company. Her focus with this company has been comprehensive interior design with furniture procurement and facility programming.
Jordan’s advice to young designers is that she encourages them to learn all avenues available within in the design profession for young and experienced designer alike, to pursue. She suggests to spend time learning and gain experience in areas of most interest, to then become technically expert. She strongly recommends to become NCIDQ certified to increase their marketability and accompany their technical expertise.
Jordan explains that IIDA is a resource to strengthen one’s knowledge base on industry movements, an opportunity to share a bond with like-minded professionals, and is a good Social and Professional network to stay involved with the local design community.
Jordan enjoys travel and spending time with her growing family. She would most like to explore Spain, and return to London and Paris- as she admires the Art and Architecture of those historical cultures. When asked to tell us something we might not know about her, she replied that she doesn’t like odd numbers and she will round up or down to avoid them. She also appreciates the simplicity of life in the South!
