    GDOT Design is seeking a full time Interior Designer to join our team. GDOT is an exclusive Teknion dealer serving clients in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh area. GDOT is a division of the Geis Companies, a nationally recognized design-builder.

    The Designer will work directly with our design and sales teams in guiding new and returning clients through the furniture selection and space planning process. The Designer will be responsible for showing product, providing pricing, creating 3D renderings and specifications for contract furniture, and crafting furniture and floor plan design proposals for customers.

Candidates should be familiar with current design trends and materials, be able to think creatively, and be eager to collaborate with and support architects, engineers, and marketing personnel.

    Applicants should have a proficient knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. Experience in Lumion or other rendering platforms is a plus. The ideal person would have strong written and verbal communication skills, an aptitude for technical specifications, and an excitement for product research. An NCIDQ certificate is preferred, but not required if the candidate is on the path to earning one. A bachelor’s degree from a CIDA-accredited interior design program is a must.

    The Department of Fine Arts invites applications for part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters, pending administrative and budgetary approval.
    The successful candidate will hold an MFA or MA in Interior Design or MA in Architecture or related field and provide strong evidence of an emerging scholarly profile. The preferred candidate will present a clear knowledge of theoretical discourses, contemporary practices. Faculty selected for the position will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level.
