On March 7th, 2018, a group of professionals and students from across Ohio headed to Columbus to represent IIDA and the interior design profession in the state of Ohio. Our main priority at this event was to inform and educate our legislators about House Bill 504, a permissive certification bill for Interior Designers in Ohio. This day consisted of two parts. The first was an introduction into how the House of Representatives General Assembly works and meet and greets with our representatives and senators.
The second part of our day was a reception hosted at King Business Interiors in which representatives and senators were invited to stop by and chat with us in a more casual atmosphere. The day, overall, was a huge success and we want to thank all those who participated especially the numerous students we had. It was important for the momentum of House Bill 504 to put faces behind it. As we continue to move forward in the legislative process we appreciate the support from all our IIDA members and ask that if you have any questions to please reach out.
