RECAP: Cin/Day The Inaugural Invitational Golf Outing 2024

We want to express our gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the first-ever IIDA Cin/Day Invitational golf outing!

Seeing all levels of skill participating and having fun on the course at the Meadow Links Golf course in Cincinnati was a great experience. We are grateful to the course for their cooperation, providing food and beverages, and hosting our first golf outing. The board decided to give this event an Olympic theme as the 2024 Summer Games were approaching, adding an interesting element to see how participants dressed and which teams they represented. The purpose of starting this outing was to encourage people to join in a low-pressure golf event, allowing everyone to participate regardless of skill level. Hosting it at an executive par 3 course with 9 holes was the perfect choice. The event featured 9 teams, each consisting of 4 golfers from various backgrounds, totaling over 50 golfers, hole sponsors, and volunteers. Joe Binford Photo and Video captured the event.

Awards were given for Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive, Men’s and Women’s Closest to the Pin, Champions of Fun, Best Team Attire, and the overall Best Team Score. The success of the event was made possible by our sponsors, including 9-hole sponsors for additional fun activities, as well as sponsors for awards, drinks, and food. The fantastic weather and the enjoyable atmosphere ensured that everyone had a great time, marking the beginning of a tradition for the IIDA Cin/Day Invitational Golf Outing.

If you missed out this year, stay tuned for next year's announcements. Join us for a chance to win the Invitational's Best Team Score Championship Cup and secure your place in history!
